It’s been 10 years since I was able to help with their initial employee testimonials, company promotional video (Rob Cummins called it the “Flying Carpet Video”) and web design. At the start of 2026, I launched into a refresh and update of those assets as well as assisting in their internal logo/brand work.

Cummins Construction

About The Project

Client: The Cummins Construction Company
Services: Brand Concepts, Truck/Fleet Wrap Design, Web Design, Video Production, Motion Graphic Design
Year: 2026

The Cummins Construction Company is a 70+ year old family business that has set the standard in the Asphalt Paving industry in Oklahoma in both the quality of their work and their investment in their employees.

They are unique in their industry as well, in that, for nearly 25 years, they have been an ESOP company. The "Employee Stock Ownership Program” means that they are 100% Employee Owned. Every project, every piece of equipment, every expense belongs to every employee. That also means that an employee-owners stock in the company ensures that when retirement comes around, they have their profit share in the company to ensure a very comfortable life after work. What a great incentive to work for and stay with this amazing company as a career path, not just a job. With annual revenue for their company being in the arena of $40 million (estimated), this is a company that has earned it’s place and ensures their people that they will be there for them for the life of their career and beyond.

Cummins is based in Enid, Oklahoma.  They have 6 plants throughout the state as well as mobile plants that go where the less accessible projects are. While the bulk of their projects are in-state, they are also licensed to work in several surrounding states. Since most (if not all) of their work is based on bids with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), they don’t really do any traditional marketing or promotion. Their focus is on the work and their family culture with their employee-owners in mind. This means that “marketing” for Cummins is not to find work, it is to recruit new talent that understands the dividends of become an employee-owner. That simplifies the message, but, it also gives guard rails for how their brand is showcased.

Their employee-owners are different. They are informed, involved and incredibly hard working. There is no place like Cummins Construction!

It’s been 10 years since I was able to help with their initial employee testimonials, company promotional video (Rob Cummins called it the “Flying Carpet Video”) and web design. At the start of 2026, I launched into a refresh and update of those assets as well as assisting in their internal logo/brand work.

They had put in a good amount of time and energy into their logo design research and planning. So, in coming into that process I wanted to make sure they maintained their internal process as well as offering some variations/concepts that might strike a chord. In the end, they landed the plane themselves after several months. My work will be to implement the new logo and brand elements throughout the website, video testimonials, truck/fleet design and any other placement that they need.
